Hungry

Joey had a BAAAAAD day at school today.  After a bad day yesterday and being sent to his room, I promised him he would get a spank if he repeated the bad behavior.  Well, he did, for three hours longer than the day before.

I took him with me to pick up his brother and friends from practice, and on the way home he starts yelling about how hungry he is.  Mind you, we are pointed directly toward McDonald's, and there is no missing those golden arches.  I looked at him as mean as I could in the rear view mirror and stated, "If you DARE ask for McDonald's young man, I will add a fourth spank to the three I already owe you."

He looks right at me, eyes wide, "I do NOT want McDonald's mom, I do NOT want McDonald's."

I went back to my regular mom voice, knowing he had understood my point, "Good to hear." I said.

"I want Subway!" he said with a smile.  All the boys in the van started laughing.  That boy has guts.
