Rich

A piece of a conversation between Luke and Joey I overheard:

Luke: "oh, is Dad RICH now?!"

Joey: "no, he's in the Army."

Luke; "so?"

Joey: "How can he be rich if he is in the Army then?"

Good question son!  LOL

Hens

We had a church home meeting, and some ladies came to join us where we chatted away the entire hour while the boys sat on the floor and chimed in once and a while.  Wes pushed his opinions in there a view times while Joey lay on the couch quietly next to me and ignored us all playing his DS.

At the end of the meeting, they said next visit it would be the males turn to talk, as a little ha-ha to end the evening.  I agreed, and promised Wes during the next visit I would not say ANYTHING at all and the other ladies swore to him as well that they would remain silent.  From the corner of the couch we heard a mumble:

"Yeah, like that's gonna happen."

The entire room bust out laughing!  Joe might not know when to watch what he is saying, but at this age he has good comedic timing!

Easter

Well, Joey didn't want to join the millions of kids on post for the Easter Egg hunt this year, and after the couple weeks he has had I was not going to force it. BUT when we took the boys to a b-day party he asked to stop at the field it was held at (it was 7 hours later) "just to check". It had rained since the hunt as well, so the field was soaked and had baby rivers going through it. His sharp eyes caught sight of ONE yellow egg on the opposite side of this field! I was pretty sure it was empty but he ran to check anyway, excited just to find the egg. BEHOLD!!! There was, in fact, still a little treasure inside just for him! We searched a little bit longer, but that was the one and only egg still on the field. "It was left JUST for ME!" he says. You know what? I think it was Joey, I think it was.

 

Fortune

We had Chinese food for dinner and this is the first time Joey got a fortune cookie.  He didn't understand how a cookie could tell your fortune.

"Cookies could be wrong you know."

And he also was afraid to risk picking the wrong one.
"What if I get a BAD luck one?"

But in the end, he picked a cookie and read his fortune out loud to us.
"You will soon bring joy to someone new in your life."

He looked up and frowned.
"What?! This can't be for me!  I don't even HAVE a life.  Life's are for grownups!"

 

Bite

"Mom, we gotta dress warm.  We don't want to get Freezer Bite."
Freezer bite, Joe?  What would that be?
"You know, Freezer Bite is when your skin gets too cold and turns black and falls off and you die...do you die actually?"
Frost Bite,Joe, and no.  Most times you don't die.
"But your skin falls off right? 
It can yes.
"Okay, it's good that you don't die.  But if we don't dress warm then we get Freezer Bite and get spots of our skin black that falls off.  So dress warm."
It's Frost...forget it.  Yes Joe, lets dress warm.

Harry

Time for a hair cut Joe.
"Nope.  Time for a NOT hair cut."
Okay, well if you don't get one, everyone is going to start calling you Harry.
"Well, YOU are still going to call me B and Joey."
Why?  You don't like Harry?
"No Harry is an ugly name."
Well okay then, we will stick with your regular name of BeeBop, okay?
"That will work."

Promise

Joey isn't eating like he should, so I told him I was going to call Gramma who would be very disappointed.

Luke, his big brother was sitting by and pointed while saying "ohhhhhhhhh!" to Joey, to make such a punishment seem twice as bad.

"Stop it!" Joey yelled at him. "What if YOU were little and YOU broke a promise and someone said OHHHHHHHH to YOU!"

His panic was apparent, and made his Gramma laugh.  Don't you dare break a promise Joe!

Gaming

"Mom, I told Luke that Game Pack 4 was out (something to do with Mindcraft) and he was really amazed!"
He stops and thinks.
"Well, he was super excited..."
He stops and thinks again.
"Wait, do both of those mean the same thing?  They do right?  Amazed and excited?  Well they sorta do, but kinda don't...so he was both of them."
And off he went back to his game. 

Studious

"Mom, did you know that round glasses are called 'studious' glasses?"
Really? (actually, I had NO idea, so this was a pretty cool piece of info)
"Yep.  They are the kind of glasses that Harry Potter wears."
And he is studious? 
"Yep."
Are your glasses round?
"Nope, they're oval.  But I AM studious anyway."
